Eric Clarke
Eric started running in 1991 after three years of hiking with the Barbados National Trust. He completed his first 10 Km race in 1996 and his first marathon in 1999 at the age of 52. He has since completed 26 marathons and three 50 Km races. From the formation of Ufukuzo in 1998, Eric has planned and managed its Sunday long run programme. He has continued to champion the procedures related to producing a high degree of accuracy of road race routes in Barbados. He has also influenced many casual runners in Barbados work their way up from 5 Km and 10 Km races to half marathons, marathons and beyond.
Ralf Luther
Ralf ran his first marathon in 1985 at the age of 17, and his second marathon 20 years later in 2005. Since then he has completed 15 marathons, including the 5 World Marathons Majors in Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York, with Tokyo scheduled for 2015. He also completed four 50Km races. Ralf maintains the Ufukuzo website, the main source of information for road racing in Barbados and is the co-founder and co-organizer of several running events in Barbados.
