Training Run 6 January 2013
Below message from Ufukuzo co-ordinator Eric Clarke:
Please see attached the run plan (a map & terrain diagrams) for Sunday January 6th. It allows for a combination of:
1. train line & asphalt (17.7 Km) highlighted in orange/green and
2. asphalt only 20.8 Km (12.9 miles) highlighted in green
You may reduce the asphalt only distance by turning around as you deem fit.
If you plan to run the BDF Half Marathon on 20 January, I suggest that you restrict your run to a maximum of 18 Km and run at about 20 to 25 sec/Km slower than the planned race pace.
If you need a shorter distance and require advice re the turnaround point, then send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org
Persons participating in the Great Train Run should first ensure that they are physically fit to undertake strenuous exercise.
Conditions underfoot along the route may be hazardous and due care should be taken at all times.
Ufukuzo Running Club nor other promoters of the Great Train Run will be held responsible for any accident suffered, injury sustained or loss of property, from any cause whatsoever, by any person using the trail.
